These programs are very popular with students, and are usually filled to capacity.
The following paragraphs are written by students taking part in the various programs:
"My name is Jessica and I've been in the dance group for about four years. Our dance teacher's name is Ms Lodzins.
There is a senior group and a junior group. We have nearly 10 routines and the seniors can dance nearly all of them.
We do performing for the kids and the community. The main dances we do for them are
"Five", "Jump and Jive", "S Club 7", and "Bring it all back".
I enjoy dancing at Blackheath Public School."

"In the year 2000 our school choir has been learning songs such as "Syahumba", "Oh Happy Day Medley", and "Donna Nobis Parchem".
The choir has travelled to a rehearsal in Katoomba for a concert.
The choir also went to Sydney to welcome Thailand at the Olympic Games.
Choir seems to be a real success."

"The Blackheath Public School Band meets every Wednesday
and Thursday for rehearsals. The band's teachers are Mr Brown and Ms Colley.
When you start in the band you get to select an instrument you would like
to play. Then you must practise every night and learn your music. The
band can perform over 10 different songs.

The band never runs out of puff..

We have played for Hazelbrook School,
for visiting Principals to Blackheath, and at the school's Open Day.
Everyone has enjoyed playing in the band this year."
